Business Spotlight - Hart Travel Partners
Support Local Business
Together we can build strong communities and support each other.
As a website designer, it is my job to celebrate my clients; most of which are local small businesses in my community. I step into their shoes to learn what they do, how they do it, and why they do it. To help understand their client base, I observe outside their business from the perspective of a customer to create the most effective custom website for their needs. Providing a professional online experience for both the business owner and the consumer is the goal. The end product (a small business website) is an essential marketing tool to connect businesses to their community, and I am grateful for each and every project.
To better serve our local business owners, I am featuring them in a local business spotlight. Learn more about how they are adjusting to our current situation, and what message they have to share with all of you.
Let's hear from Steve Hart of Hart Travel Partners
How is your business adjusting to our current world situation?
We are a travel company specializing in educational travel around the world. We have had most of our tours for the year cancelled. So for us it is a very tough situation. Our business adjusting for now is really just waiting for travel to come back. In the meantime we will be working on what we can do better for our clients for when travel comes back. This could be anything from potentially building a new website to revamping our marketing materials.
Have your product or service offerings changed to adjust to the needs of your customers?
We will likely continue to offer trips to the same destinations abroad depending on which ones open up again first. It is also likely that we will add to our domestic offerings. As travel gradually comes back it could be that travelers at first will not want to travel “too far” to get their culture fix.
How do you serve your customers differently now that social distancing is enforced?
When it does come back travel is likely to be different with some degree of social distancing involved. For example it is possible that airline seating will be less “congested”, museums will manage more strictly how many visitors are inside at the same time, maybe travelers will have to wear masks….. Maybe we will provide all our travelers with a “travel bag” that includes a mask, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. So while the destination offerings are likely to be the same as they always have been, the way we visit them will be changed somewhat.
What message would you like to put out there to your current and potential customers?
Right now of course we cannot travel but it will come back. And when it does you will be welcomed with arms wide open by all of our friends around the world.
Is there anything you would like to add?
We cannot travel now so lets enjoy being at home. But when we can travel let's do it as much as possible.
