Spotlight Client: Vaughn Family Law of Massachusetts
Amy Vaughn, the owner of Vaughn Family Law, is an accomplished and well-regarded family law practitioner. As both a mediator and polished litigator, she is committed to creative and effective dispute resolution and is a skilled and experienced litigator in handling complex cases before Probate and Family and District Courts in the Commonwealth.
Over the course of her career, Amy has been appointed by the Court to serve as Military Counsel, Temporary Guardian, Special Discovery Master, Real Estate Master, Conciliator, and Parent Coordinator. She has served on the Massachusetts Bar Association's Family Law Section council, taught educational seminars, and volunteered within the Court system for years. Amy is devoted to her clients as well as effective and compassionate advocacy.
As you can see, Amy has a full schedule running her law firm and serving her clients and community. Her marketing and website got neglected. She knew she needed to work on her website and marketing but didn't have the time to devote to getting it done. So when we contacted Amy after seeing her non-secure website message, she welcomed the help.
How Our Digital Marketing Services Will Help Them Thrive
Amy works primarily with divorce law and child custody. She believes that education and empowerment are the most powerful tools she can provide clients to help facilitate informed decisions under challenging circumstances. This message is key.
More than that, Amy wanted to stand apart from others in her industry. She wanted to be approachable. She wanted her website to feel comfortable and welcoming. Combine that with a strong message, "Knowledge is Power," and you get the sense that Amy understands what you are going through and will stand by you every step of the way. Legal family matters are never easy. Amy will advocate for you and your children. The website imagery is beautiful, with every page displaying a natural path. Amy will lead you all to a better place.
Before and After

We had fun working with Amy replacing her template website with one that genuinely represents her and her firm. The new website will attract the type of clients she wants to help. There are so many lawyers out there, and it is our job to help Amy stand out and be memorable. This website is truly one of a kind, and so is Amy.

How Our Web Design Will Help Them Thrive
Joe found us through a google search and set up a free consultation to learn more about us. We are sure glad he did. Joe is a seasoned business owner with experience in several areas, including property management, real estate sales, and construction. A few years back Joe sold the property management division of his business and shifted to construction, mainly commercial group home construction. A new website was needed to reflect this change.
Any time a business goes through a major change like this, it should analyze its marketing plan. While a website redesign is only one part of the plan, it's the foundation for all other marketing efforts. Now that Joe has a professional website that properly reflects Global Property Services, he can now work out the details on how to drive traffic to the website and new leads to him. He will now be contacted for the services he offers, no longer wasting time answering calls for services he no longer does. Time is money and small business owners only have so much time, Joe wants to spend his time on the things that matter. Redesigning and cleaning up the website was a wise decision, one that will serve him well for years to come.

How Our Web Design Will Help Them Thrive
Website Design
Between consulting, writing books, creating his podcast, and engaging in many speaking engagements, Jeff has a lot on his professional plate! He decided now was the time to pull it all together into Jeff Cohen Media. The next step was to create an intuitive and professional website; that’s where I came in. Jeff and I were introduced through a trusted partner of mine, and soon after Jeff Cohen Media had a new logo and an online home-base for his clients.
At the core of Jeff Cohen Media is Jeff! Getting his clients to know and trust him is the sole purpose of his new website. Working with a photographer, Jeff now has a portfolio of professional and personable photos that we integrated throughout the website. The easy-to-use style brings together all the unique pieces of Jeff Cohen Media, with contrasting colors, shapes and icons to differentiate between each of his offerings. Jeff has a lot to offer, and his new website makes it easy for users to locate which service they want to learn more about and contact Jeff directly. Mission accomplished!
Logo Design
The message that Jeff wanted to convey with his logo was one of journeys…journeys to self-improvement, company improvement, and personal growth. The road/path symbolizes both a journey and growth. The sun symbolizes a positive end-goal. Bright colors and strong typography were used to reinforce the concepts of growth and positivity.

Custom Website Design for Lift & Care Systems
- Strategic Website Consultation
- Logo Redesign for Accessibility
- Accessible Website Design
- Custom Responsive Website Design
- Keyword Research and onsite SEO implementation
- Personalized Instructions for Updating Website Content
- Maintenance Plan providing Monitoring, Backups, and Security
- Monthly SEO Tracking, Analyzing and Reporting

Spotlight Client: Lift & Care Systems Inc.
In 1993, Dave Austin established Lift & Care Systems, Inc. to distribute the famous Handi-Move International product line of patient lift systems, known as SureHands. Over the years, they have expanded their durable medical equipment product line to support users and their caregivers in accomplishing the highest quality of life possible.
How Our Web Design Will Help Them Thrive
Dave was ready for an update to his website which was not functioning properly. Dropdown menus didn’t work, text was missing, the home page lacked a clear call to action and site visitors had to dig to find all of the many options Lift & Care offered for various pieces of equipment. Their old site was organized by brand, rather than product type, making for a very confusing user experience.
One key feature of the new website was a comprehensive design that centers on accessibility. Because Dave works in an industry where accessibility is at the heart of the mission, it made perfect sense that Lift & Care’s website would be ADA Compliant.
Logo Redesign for Accessibility
As a part of accessibility guidelines, there needs to be a certain degree of color contrast. Our first task for this redesign was accomplishing this contrast with Lift & Care’s pastel yellow and gray logo.
Dave was reluctant to change the logo drastically, as he didn’t want to lose brand recognition or deal with the expense of rebranding existing materials. With adjustments, the yellow and gray colors went from low-visibility to eye-catching. In addition, the tagline was moved and a clean-up of his signature “lift” graphic helped us meet accessibility guidelines and increase the boldness of the logo.

Website Redesign for Accessibility
Our accessibility work didn’t stop at the visual component of things – accessibility also takes into consideration how a website is organized and how easy it is to use. Our next task was taking the existing 200+ pages and categorizing them in a way that was the most intuitive for users. To reflect all of these categorical changes, we reorganized the website menu and implemented a consistent layout for each of the pages in each category. Being able to find what you need, with whatever assistive technology you may be using to navigate online, is essential for an accessible website.
Secondary pages on the existing website were also confusing. We redesigned all secondary product pages to mimic the home page using photo “cards” to list and show specific product categories. They were also listed in the sidebar, repeated on every product page to aid in navigation.
When a specific product was selected, it took the visitor to a tertiary page that described the product in detail with text, photos, and embedded videos. Resource articles pertinent to that product were listed and linked in the sidebar. These same articles could be found by visiting the Resources page (right), which categorized all of the articles by subject, with icons that we custom designed for the site.
SEO Research, Implementation, Tracking, Analyzing and Reporting
Dave, like most business owners, wanted his website to appear as high up as possible in Google search results for the terms most regularly used by searchers to identify someone who offers the products, services, and solutions to problems that Lift & Care Systems offers. Luckily for him, Google rewards accessible websites and websites where content is constantly updated/refreshed. Team member Gail Moraski provides Dave with ongoing SEO and marketing efforts, such as regular SEO ranking audits and blog posts that include high-volume keywords.

Custom Website Design for Critical Prism Defense
- Strategic Website Consultation
- Custom Responsive Website Design
- Personalized Instructions for Updating Website Content
- Maintenance Plan providing Monitoring, Backups, and Security

Spotlight Client: Critical Prism Defense
Paul Netopski is a U.S. veteran and the sole proprietor of Critical Prism Defense LLC. He began his professional career in the defense and intelligence community as an electronics technician for the United States Navy. Later, he worked for the United States Air Force as a contractor focusing on Information Systems Security for critical mission systems. He then moved on to a position at MIT as an Information Security Representative and then an Information Systems Security Manager & Director of Information Services, Embedded Systems for the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory.
He is respected for his high level of strategic thinking and is knowledgeable in many disciplines including cyber, electronics, IT, contracts, R&D, and engineering. His numerous business certifications and security clearance make it easy for companies to work with him as a consultant. Paul works well both independently and as part of a team, and he has a strong network of professionals and product sellers that enhance and solidify the solutions he can offer to meet a variety of needs.
How Our Web Design Will Help Them Thrive
Paul needed a strong, professional website to showcase his skills and appeal to large firms that he would service. He built his first website himself, but it just didn't have the polished design that he needed. By bringing Web Design by Robin into the equation, his website reached that next level of professionalism.
Our first task was to clearly organize Paul’s services. We decided on 5 categories: contracting, consulting, implementation, assessment, and training. His call to action, "schedule free consultation", is the best way for Paul’s potential clients to contact him. Accordingly, we put the link front and center on the site for consultations.
It quickly became clear to us that Paul's business is Paul himself. For this reason, we needed to emphasize his credentials, work history, and talent; he is a leader in his industry and the right guy for any cyber security job. We highlighted Paul on the home page, which leads to the about us page that reads like a resume. Paul also provides a company brochure with even more details about his extensive experience and an overview of the capabilities of CPD.
The website design features computer zeros and ones to represent cybersecurity and color-coded icons to represent each of the five services. We used stock photography to show engineers and other technical staff to represent the companies and individuals Paul is capable of working with. Once the website style was established, we used a clean layout for all the content and forms. The website is easy to navigate, appealing, and professional. This type of design is just what Paul needs to market his services and grow his business.
