website design for public library

The Fiske Public Library located in Wrentham Massachusetts is a vital part the community. It is a place for all ages and activities. The library website is the center location for information - and its overflowing.

This project was truly a content and design makeover.  With so much going on and so many resources available it was hard to find what you were looking for when you came to the previous website.  The design needed modernization and a whole lot of simplification while still maintaining a fun inviting appeal.  The new design incorporates all these aspects, in a clean, easy to navigate website perfect for patrons and staff alike.  We used drop down menus, find it fast buttons, icon image links, and a search tool to help organize content and give the user experience top priority.  The website is also now mobile friendly and secured by an SSL certification for google compliance.  However, the most important improvement is the ease of use for the webmaster.  Using Joomla to make changes and publish/unpublish events and content right on the website tool itself is so much better than the process used before saving them time and resources.

"Robin was great to work with. She explained the process of designing the new site and worked with our suggestions. Any questions we had she was able to answer and she made the changes we asked for easily. I can't think of anything I would want improved. The staff really like the new design. I have heard from the patrons that they are finding it much easier to use than the previous design. I use the provided instructions a lot and they are really helpful, allowing me to make updates easily and often."
