Spotlight Client: American Drum Company
Tom and Karissa Evans both grew up in Massachusetts in musical families. As a young couple that share a love for percussion, it has long been a dream of theirs to create a unique and fun place to learn drums. From this dream, American Drum Company was born.
American Drum Company is based in Seekonk, MA. Within their building, there are practice rooms, performance areas, and a one-of-a-kind drum museum. This museum is the largest privately-owned museum of its kind, focusing solely on drums; it is their mission to share the history of drums and their passion for them through educating the public on the various percussion styles and through community service with non-profit groups and their museum. American Drum Company will be a place for all ages to learn and experience music.
How Our Web Design Will Help Them Thrive
Tom and Karissa hired Website Design by Robin to create the website for their emerging business and museum. When the couple came to Robin, they were extremely organized, and had already thought of almost everything. They had a logo, a solid idea of how they wanted their website to look and function, and lots of great suggestions. You could tell that their business plan is something they had been working on for some time: we took their ideas and ran with them.
When you come to the website, you will notice three main areas of focus: classes, museum, and events. While events may be on hold for a while due to COVID-19, they have big plans for them in the future. The class section includes a wide variety of age, ability, and style options with several talented teachers. Each teacher has their page highlighting their experience, the hours they teach, and how to book a class with them. It was important to Karissa that we added a navigable booking software, so we implemented that as well. The museum is free and open to the public. By adding visuals of the museum, anyone who visits the site can get a preview of the beautiful and detailed drums on display. As the museum grows and new museum pieces are photographed, Karissa can easily add these new photos to the website.
I love this website because it is inviting and uplifting; it's everything a musical community could want. I recommend you check it out and stop in some time to visit the museum!
