Meet the designer...
Every day I work with business owners to bring clarity to their online presence.
We work together to create a solid foundation for all marketing efforts, the website - where potential customers look first before considering that next step. It is my job to give them a clear message of what you do and why they should do business with you.

May 26, 2021 - Robin joined Ed McDonough of ECE Marketing Services for an interview on his show LiveStream Wednesday. They touched on a variety of topics, such as Robin’s experience as a website designer and goals for her growing small business. Some of the emergent subjects were the evolving web design industry, the customizability of Robin’s websites, and the importance of accessibility. According to Ed, Robin’s emphasis on catering to her full clientele through accessibility efforts and offering a fully customizable experience both internally and externally are features of her small business that set her apart from the rest. This continued collaboration between Robin and her customers is what keeps her clients around:
“I stay with my clients and with my small business owners for the long term so they can always know that their website is safe, healthy and maintained … Let’s get your business a really good online presence so that all of your other efforts will be more powerful and time efficient. Now you have a sound and professional website to fall back on every time.”

An end of an era - October 2019
I was discussing career choices with my son Dan recently. He has an analytical mind and is a natural at coding. I told him, you know, not everyone can do what you do so easily. When you find something you enjoy, use that talent to make yourself useful in this world. I haven't always been a website designer or a small business owner. This job found me 14 years ago. My skills with computers and programming started at a young age and brought me many opportunities over my lifetime. My website design chapter could just as easily be called my "raise my boys by working from the home chapter." Designing websites has allowed me to pursue my favorite job of all - being a mom! My boys turned 18 this year and will be off to college in no time. I remarked to Trevor that I don't know what to do with all my free time, his smart @ss response, "go design more websites mom!" God knows I love him.
We don't get where we are out of thin air. There were many chapters before this one for me. One chapter was when I met my husband in engineering classes at college and built our relationship around many mistakes and a few great decisions. Leaving my engineering job at General Dynamics to form Web Design by Robin was one of the scariest decisions we made and, as it turned out, it is one of the brightest decisions, second only to marrying Chris. What I didn't know then is just how hard it is to be a small business owner. I am a talented website designer. Running a business is well - HARD!
We learn quickly in business that we need to find our niche and stand out in a crowd. I'm a service provider; my niche is me. I understand what it means to be a small business owner. My services target local small business and focus on making them thrive. My business is not successful unless your business is successful. My clients think of me as a partner. I design websites and continue to support businesses long after their websites are launched. I am only as good as the product and services I provide. I want to make sure that everything I do is high quality and my customers are satisfied.
My original plan was to start a business doing something that uses my expertise - designing websites. Today my business is still designing websites, however, it is much more than that. I am proud to be a local small business owner and I am proud to support local small businesses by providing website design services!
